8. News & Editorial 2010 Winners

News and editorial photography is a genre intended to illustrate a story or idea within the context of a newspaper or magazine as a photo documentation of a story or article. The title of News & Editorial Photographer of the Year is awarded to the photographer whose single photographic image is judged to be the entry exhibiting the best example of news and editorial photography. Photo entries will be judged on aspects such as category relevance, interest, composition, lighting, storyline and creativity. This award as with all others requires the consensus decision of our complete panel of judges. In this category we also make awards for those entries judged to be deserving of 2nd and 3rd placings, plus there is an Honourable Mention award.
